Nothing to do with politics, but I heard a bit of a commotion with the birds in my garden this morning. Looking out of the window, I saw that a bird of prey had swooped down and grabbed a pigeon for lunch. At first I thought this was a peregrine falcon, but I think it is a sparrowhawk (the bright yellow eyes are supposed to be a feature) - can any bird spotters confirm? A bit gruesome I know, but I suppose it is all part of the run of nature.
Great photo - we think you're right that it's a sparrowhawk - compared it with another one on Google and it looks identical :D
